The emotion

Terribly beautiful. As the first sunrise you watch with your sweetheart when you are fifteen, as on the first day in school for your child, as on the morning of your wedding day. The whole world ceases to exist for a moment, you’re suspended, apart from everything and above all things.

This is the emotion I have felt all through this morning. It’s the emotion of becoming aware you’ve made one more important step. I find myself in this warm library hall, light golden wood shelves and the colourful mosaic the spines of books make; old, solid wooden tables and chairs which some might call impractical, yet I love. Law French music in the background. People loosing themselves in the fascination book titles and back cover reviews can create.

My friend has just arrived. We’re going to take our coffees and talk about the project. A couple of weeks ago, she told me she would be happy to give me a hand with all the work that needs to be done.

The music changed to classical…
