Walk the line

Think about circumstances. Think about choices. Think about chances. That’s how we build what we have, that’s how we become who we are: by not ignoring the circumstances, by understanding that all of us are fully responsible for our choices, by creating our chances.

Bonjour, Madame!, when I stop at Ibis hotel close to Gare de Midi, to send an email, as I’m running late for the lunch with my friend; ‘est tres jolie…’ much later at night, when I walk out this ‘eurocrats’ party to smoke a cigarette… amitie, what I’ve been given. I love hearing French on the streets of Brussels. I find here people with whom I instantly connect. I live a night among new friends as I haven’t lived in a very long time: we feel like teenagers again, boys and girls taking sides, telling stories, laughing so hard and so laud that the walls cannot contain the vibrations any longer … we explode, and then melt, in a very beautiful moment of shared life. I walk streets that seem familiar, I see faces that are not alike, I see mixtures, I feel I’m just about to start a new life for myself. I am ready to walk the line.
